Fallout Studios explores this possibility with CNC Fallout, a total conversion for the Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars.

CNC Fallout consists of a fast-paced pick up and play gameplay featuring three factions: NATO (comprising of the US and Europe), The Soviet Union and Austrailia. 66 new units have been introduced, ranging from the realistic M1A2 Abrams Tanks to the futuristic military-tech such as Plasma Assault Crafts and more. Take these units and fight in real world locales like New York City, Moscow, Sydney and more all presented by an intense soundtrack custom made for the mod.

In honor of all their hard work, we’ve decided to spotlight the fantastic total conversion in our Monday Mod.

EoD changes the setting to the Vietnam War and implements 110 new vehicles, over 220 new maps ranging from thick jungles to urban conflicts and a boat-load of weapons. One of the more compelling additions was helicopters, which have never been in BF1942. Along with helicopters, an intuitive co-op mode was added, having AI controlled players join the battlefield. Updated with even more polish, now is the time to dust off your BF1942 discs.

Warhammer 40k Conversion by DarkWolfV It is no secret that I am a huge fan of the Warhammer universe. Be it fantasy, or 40k you had better believe that my greenskins will “WAAAGH!” you to death. You had better believe that when I saw a 40k-inspired makeover for New Vegas, I pretty much peed myself. With this mod, normal NPCs become Imperial Guard while more “elite” NPCs become members from various chapters of the Space Marines. If you like 40k at all, you should DEFINITELY download and install this mod! If only GW and Bethesda would collaborate to create RPGs in the Warhammer worlds…a girl can dream, right?

Chryslus Corvega by Vuzi Does fast travel kill your immersion? Do not fret, for I have just the mod for you! This mod takes away your ability to fast travel out of the blue and adds a quest in which you obtain a jalopy similar to the one in Fallout 2. In order to travel, you will have to keep your car fueled up. This mod makes for more challenging travel, but has options for customization of your car and a ton of extras. With this mod, the increased difficulty pays in dividends.

JoO’s Armory by JackoO JoO’s Armory is a straight-forward mod – no extra work, just a bunch of cool items in a chest Doc Mitchel’s house. To help improve upon the apocalypse feel of the game, I went searching for a mod that added a bit more tension, and by tension I mean zombies.

The Wardrop mod increases the amount of zombies seen in both interior and exterior areas by over 100x, making the game more challenging and horrifying. To help keep balance and add to the new hectic nature of the game, ammo can be found in much more significant amounts and the maximum ammo capacity has been increased. Weapon degradation has been decreased and combined with the other changes lets players ditch their melee weapons and go guns-blazing against waves of zombies.

The Fenris Files by Zombiezer0 In his mod, Zombiezer0 gives everyone’s favorite angst-elf some new digs. If you weren’t a fan of Fenris’ weird unitard, have no fear! In addition to an awesome coat and (gasp) shoes for Fenris, the mod allows you to customize his tattoo colors, facial appearance, and general color scheme. In my opinion, this mod vastly improves the appearance of original Fenris, and I am all for that!

LapisLazzuli’s Rivaini Pirates mod adds 4 unique pirate outfits for both males and females. Options include a variant of Isabella’s default outfit, a more gypsy-style look with a fringe skirt and bikini top, a male outfit with a vest, and an open-shirt version for the more adventurous!
