In celebration of the 10 year anniversary of the Battlefield 1942 modification Eve of Destruction, the developers have released the latest version (2.40) to the public. In honor of all their hard work, we’ve decided to spotlight the fantastic total conversion in our Monday Mod.
EoD changes the setting to the Vietnam War and implements 110 new vehicles, over 220 new maps ranging from thick jungles to urban conflicts and a boat-load of weapons. One of the more compelling additions was helicopters, which have never been in BF1942. Along with helicopters, an intuitive co-op mode was added, having AI controlled players join the battlefield. Updated with even more polish, now is the time to dust off your BF1942 discs.
