We’re aware that Diablo 2 is 11 years old, but with Diablo III looming over our heads many of us are revisiting D2 characters to scratch that itch in the meantime. To help spice things up in Sanctuary, why not cheat a bit and give your character every stat/item in the game. Sure, it may break the balance of thing, but at this point seeing how much carnage you can do is the only thing left to do for entertainment.
With this Diablo 2 Hero Editor, you can overpower yourself as much as you want. Once you create your character in singleplayer, run this program and find your save file. After it’s found, you can go through each tab such as Inventory/Stats/Attributes and customize them to your heart’s content. Once you’re finished, you simply select “save” and your changes shall be seen in the game. For additional assistance, the “Info” tab of the Hero Editor has plenty of tips on how to edit your character.

Nice idea and concept but any feedback on how to get it to install and run properly in a Windows 7 64bit system would be nice.
Wow, i remember this and jamellas from WAY back, be careful this one is a pain and likes to break making it annoying to uninstall
Another great character editor was the Ultimate Diablo Item Editor; otherwise known as UDIE Tool. This can be found on the Phrozen Keep site.

Heh I still run my Diablo 2 bot on battlenet its been running for a long long time now and I’ll have a hard time taking it down, it won’t be easy to say goodbye to Diablo 2 I don’t care how great Diablo 3 is!
