While you’ve been gambling on the Strip, Fallout 3’s D.C. wasteland has been changing – bigger, meaner and… greener. Giving the world a new sense of life and wonder, the bad Ass Wasteland Restoration mod is a great reason to reinstall Fallout 3… and blow up Megaton one more time.
Bad Ass Wasteland Restoration breathes life into the landscape of Fallout 3 with trees, bushes and grass sprouting up all over. Five new tree models and new ground cover have been added to spice up the scenery, while distant land colors and tree visuals have been improved, providing more enjoyable vistas. Collision issues with trees and bushes have also been resolved, so if you needed an excuse to go back to Fallout 3, this is it.

The mod was made by virtual environmentalists Shiholude, Jeoshua, Whoden and Bumbum. Not sure if those are their real names, but I sure hope so. Especially Bumbum’s. Aside from replacing gray and brown rocks and posts with relaxing greenery, Bumbum and his pixel plant loving friends also added “five new tree models, new groundcover, distant land colors, distant tree visuals (and) plant overgrowth”.
