With Valve announcing the Portal 2 DLC arriving in September, it’s about time we all head back to Aperture Science to find some adventure. The kind filled with explosions, puzzles and even more explosions; these are the maps that will put all of those black belts you earned to the test.
AngryBombs by MissStabby: You wake up from cryosleep one evening and decide to go on a journey with Rick the adventure sphere. The plot makes no sense, but it doesn’t need to as the map is simply fun. Well-placed dialogue from Rick keeps everything going at a steady pace while reminding you this is better than Christmas. Watch the video and judge for yourself, keep in mind of potential spoilers.

Patent Pending by ebola: This map consists of four chambers placed in the ruined Aperture Science area and containing moderately difficult puzzles. Some of the elements you will use in advancing are hard light surfaces, discouragement beams, faith plates and more. No explosions, but still plenty of danger.

Loud Pipes by ForbiddenDonut: Pour on the mustard when it comes to beating this map and by mustard I mean repulsion/propulsion gel. The difficulty ramps up from easy to medium and then hard, so treat this map like it owes you money and show no mercy.

Lost in Testing by KenJeKenny!?: This is a short but sweet one, and I mean that in the most dangerous way possible. Only taking about 15 minutes to finish, you will go through a series of gels, faith plates and funnels to get through this medium-difficulty map.

CG – Additional Chapter 8 Tests by CrazyGuy: This map expands upon the theme of Chapter 8, Wheatley Laboratoies. Providing more puzzles, challenges and even a secret Ratman’s den to find, this is one pretty lady – I mean map. The difficulty is rather hard, but well-paced enough to make this another adventure that is better than Christmas.

As we‘ve come to expect from Gameloft, Tintin is a high-quality game. It boasts truly stunning graphics, stable gameplay, and a rich, immersive experience. It even manages to tell a story while keeping the player engaged through the use of entertaining cutscenes and numerous mini-challenges. Despite being a classic point-and-click (or in this case, “point-and-tap”) adventure game which moves along in a linear fashion, it kept us captivated with its entrancing soundtrack, visuals, and variety.
