The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is a fantastic fantasy epic which has received beaming reviews since its release. Oblivion is a beautiful game with a beautiful world, but at times the characters can look a little lackluster. I am a huge fan of modding games to help with immersion. Since I’ve been on a bit of a Final Fantasy XI kick lately, I thought I would share some Oblivion mods that are inspired by other famous fantasy RPGs currently on the market.
UFF Eisen Platte Armor by Shayaryn and NPR The original Eisen Armor set is an extremely popular FFXI-inspired mod that has earned many endorsements. Shayaryn has taken that mod, and rescaled it to work with the Fantasy Figures mod. Additionally, the Eisen set now has a trouser option (in case you didn’t like the thigh action), and several fun new colors. In FFXI, the Eisen set was only useful very briefly. It is nice to see that the lovely/sexy set has use elsewhere! This particular version of the mod requires Fantasy Figures, and can be found in a chest in the Imperial City Arena.
FFXI San d’Orian Underwear by MicheTES Another FFXI-inspired mod, this is a take on unequipped Elvaan from San d’Oria. These clothing sets definitely aren’t the most scanty panties you can find for Oblivion, but they are still attractive regardless. Additionally, MicheTES provides the male counterpart of the mod (holy crap, I know). I have no complaints about bare muscle-y mid drifts. Err…don’t mind me. This mod requires both Robert’s Male Body, and HG Eye Candy body and can be found in Wawnet Inn.
Final Fantasy XI White Mage AF by Pizz The “Artifact Armor” line in FFXI was typically pretty mediocre gear (save for some pieces) that looked REALLY awesome. In the case of White Mage, the Artifact equipment was both adorable and hearkened back to the days of older Final Fantasy titles. Now that the level cap has been raised significantly, “AF” doesn’t serve much purpose. Luckily, not unlike the Eisen set, this armor has been reincarnated elsewhere! Pizz recommends this armor for characters level 20 and above.
Shaiya Outfit for HGEC by doughnutz Shaiya is one of Aeria Games’ free-to-play MMORPGs. It is a lovely looking game, but is known for being a bit of a “grindfest.” In spite of this, Shaiya is a treasure trove of beautiful textures for modding. This particular mod is based on Shaiya’s goddess of darkness, and is extremely alluring. This mod requires the HG Eye Candy body, and is available in the Divine Elegance store in Imperial City Market.
Lineage II Draconic Set by Akideit Lineage II is another famous Korean MMORPG with beautiful textures. This particular armor would offer little in the way of defense, but a lot in the way of sexy! In order for this particular mod to work, you will need Exnem’s Female upper body, and the HG Eye Candy lower body. The armor can be found in a crate in Imperial City.
Elves of Lineage II by Miss Onatopp While a bit on the sultry side, Lineage II’s elves are extremely beautiful. Thank goodness for people like Miss Onatopp, who create beautiful custom races for Oblivion. It is no secret that the default Oblivion races are pretty far from attractive. This mod allows for you to create elves in the style of Lineage, and supports a wide range of body mods.
