This is due to my social ineptitude at making real-life friends. Skin color doesn’t matter, nor does the race and whether or whether they have a skeletal system doesn’t concern me. All I want are COMPANIONS. Friends to keep me company at night and to help fight the growing threats in Cyrodiil. We all need friends, especially ones we would like to date.

There’s a book about a scholar’s experience with a nymph in Daggerfall. I got from it that nymphs are pretty much nymphos in the Elder Scrolls universe.

typically you should only have to put in your meshes,textures and .esp in your data folder then check them in data files or obmm.if there is no readme then good luck finding them in game.most companion mods come witha readme that tells you installation instructions and location of companions
You need to extract them into the oblivion data file in your Program files folder, at least this is how I learned how to do it. If you put them in your data folder, you should be able to access them in the oblivion data files option in the main menu. BTW, I used winzip to extract the files.
To be more specific, the folder that you would probably want to extract the files into would be called C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data
Actually, it depends on where you’ve installed it. If you purchased the game through Steam or D2D it will probably be in a different location. The easiest way to locate your install folder is to right click on your Oblivion shortcut and click on properties. From there click the button Open File Location. Congratulations, you have now accessed your Oblivion installation folder. In this folder you will find the Data folder, into which all of your addons should be extracted.

CM partners has companions that come with it but most of the companions you want you have to download separate.example,i found sephiroth from ff7.heaint as bad ass as he is in ff7 but its sephiroth.

The Vilja mod looks like a great idea, however I have not been able to get this to run despite numerous attempts at loading the file to Oblivion\Data folder .
Should the file appear in the loading screen in the main menu under ‘data’ ? thats where the other mods appear but this one doesn’t appear at all. A readme file would have been helpful as there are no instructions.

you need to make sure the .esp file that relates to the mod is directly in the /data folder. if it is not the mod will not show up in your list.

The file appears to be a single file only (not a zipped set of files ) it is labelled : companion Vilja ver 2-28977.7z it is 114 Mb but there are no other associated files , I put this in the Data folder, but no result. Should there be some other files? This is all that downloaded.

allright i downloaded viija and it comes with omod conversion data.get obmm,click create,click add archive(or folder if you extracted it.a general rule of thumb is to extract it to a temporary folder to see whats in the archive)it will say “omod conversion data availabe would you like to import it?”say yes and click create omod.elsewise extract to a temp folder and “move to folder”,your data folder that is,the BSA and the .esp.go to data files and select the .esp.
.7z is a 7zip application similar to winrar, you have to download the program (which is free to unzip and zip with) then unzip the program and several files should be in it, winrar will also open this type of file.

I had the same experience , searched all round but no show, so I opened the game again and tried walking along the road from the Wawnet Inn and when I got to Weynon Priory , she was waiting by the well.
I just tried out Wanda. She’s got some pretty cool moves, but after a while the nakedness gets old. I don’t know why, it just does. It’s probably because I’d rather do what I’m supposed to be doing in the game (you know, fighting daedric monsters and all that) than stare at some naked nymph that hisses at me whenever I click on her. Anyway, is there a chance that someone could make a version of her that wears something. I’m not saying full on clothes, just something resembling the undergarments that people usually wear when you take their stuff.
For a reference, if you’ve seen Tarzan, something similar to what Jane wears at the very end of the movie when she’s swinging through the trees with Tarzan (sorry if I spoiled that for anyone).

CM Partners is the most usable IMO opinion, you could get so many companions that are compatible with CM partners off of TES Nexus site. (google it)
For a wild Oblivion experience without needing to become a mod install expert (ie.. staying AWAY from the FCON procedures, and Wry Bash). I’m not a patient man, and I like to install the mods and go.
Patch and Mod List:
(1) Install all patches to Oblivion, and Shivering Isles, including the unofficial obivion patch)
(2) OOO Obscuro’s Oblivion Overhaul – too many changes fixes, tweaks, changes/additions to list. (TE Nex)
(3) MMM Martigen’s Monster Mod (Despite its readme, I could only get the regular MMM to work with OOO, *not* the one marked ‘MMM for OOO’ so keep that in mind) – had 100s of new monsters, also makes for more NPC vs NPC out in the wild, bands of bandits, thieves, and groups of people that basically just hate you. THIS is AWESOME (TE Nexus) – through mod manager, be sure to uncheck any ‘reduced spawn rate’ boxes. You want more respawn!!!
(4) CM partners (see fileplanet download above)
(5) Cute Elves race (TES Nexus) – um… MUI Caliente!
(6) ANY CM partners that also uses the cute elf race (TE Nexus)
(7) Midas Magic – adds well over 100 new spells, some AOE! Don’t need if you have 0 interest in casting but some of the spells are beyond awesome, I guess then it would be scrumpulicious!
Pretty short, simple list of mods but the combination changes the entire way the game is played. The idea with OOO and MMM, you now get a more lively experience (especially if you’re not a fast travel weenie) with hordes of creatures/NPCs that all hate you and want to kill you. I am not sure about the best players out there, but I could not proceed from one town to the next without getting jumped and killed by bands of whatever… Enter the CM partners, I would grab 2-3 companions and roll with it, one companion I still found was not enough to handle the hordes…
Now you have yourself, a party of 2-3 beautiful NPCs that can fight – and plenty of things to fight going to/from quests. I find the game more complete now, more exciting… If you end up installing CM partners, I would get 2 melee-based companions and depending on your character, either an archer or caster… If you install Midas Magic, you’ll eventually be able to purchase some really bad-ass spells.

You need to talk to her I believe, then you get an option to equip her with things in the dialog choices. Might be wrong though as it’s been years since I played this game.

Gold edition should not matter, that just includes the add-on stories that you stated. Those are really just mods themselves.

You usually have to find the companions somewhere on the map. They should come with a read me file that tells you where to find them. If not usually a little searching on google and you can find where the mod came from or someone that asked before where to find the companion.
If you let me know which ones you have I can maybe find out where to find them in the game. Only one I’ve played is the heather one but that was years ago and she was by some church (priory?).
As for there being no color I can not say why it is not working, my guess though is because of your video card being a little too low to run the game decently. my best advice is to turn the resolution and settings down the most you can and see how that works.
